A double set of pickleball paddles with 4 balls and wristbands.A nice compete set to get you started, these are very much aimed at beginners. If which I am.Unfortunately within just 15 minutes of play with no manhandling the paddle broke off, with no noticeable reason as to why. Either very unlucky or very poor production quality. I don't particularly hold out much hope for the other paddle.
Great set really pleased, we love all racket sport I play 6-9 hours a week of badminton in 2 leagues my 22 year old son plays league tennis and as a family of 4 we play a lot of padel and pickleball too. This set is much better than our current budget set, the texture on the bats is a lot better for slicing great set to buy - highly recommend
The VANTA ORIGIN | Pickleball Paddle Set arrives nicely packaged. The bats come in there very own carry case, and inside the bats were wrapped in bubble rap to protect them during shipping.Inside the bad you get2 X bats.2 x wrist bands.4 x pickle balls. The bats are nice and light, but also feel really rubust and durable, especially for the price. This is my fist pickle ball set, so I'm not sure what the quality is like compared to other bats, but I must say I'm very happy with the quality of these bats.I've never played pickleball before so this was an experience, If I had to describe it, It will be between hitting a ping pong ball, like table tennis, and a little like squash, But I'll had fun playing with this set.One thing to note, when playing outside and it's windy, The ball is so light, It does tend to drift in the wind, But that's to be expected.Overall, I am very happy with this set, it performs very well, is of good build quality and It's good for the price.
The set comes in a nice sturdy carry case. 2 x rackets. 4 aero balls. 2 x sweat bands. All you need is somewhere to play. The rackets , paddles are a good size. Very nicely balanced. Not too heavy, or light. Enough you can hit the ball without it feeling like hitting a cricket ball.A great set to start playing the game.A great price for some to get into the sport.
Both Pickleball and Padel are new to me, I am not entirely sure of the differences, and I haven't played either games, although I have seen them played, until recently I thought that they were the same thing. This VANTA Origin 16mm Pickleball paddle set would appear to be good quality, and is slightly cheaper than some of the VANTA sets or Paddles, ideal for beginners, especially if you aren't sure if you know whether it will be for you. Each paddle is both light, and it feels good to hold, it is made from polypropylene and fibreglass. The core is a polypropylene honeycomb design with the face being fibreglass composite. There is also edge protection to each of your Pickleball paddles too.The paddles are engineered in the UK, but produced in China. In the package you get:2 x Origin Pickleball Paddles1 x VANTA Padded Paddle Bag4 x Injection Moulded Indoor Pickleballs2 x Wrist Sweatband as a Free Gift
Super value set that includes two lightweight pickleball paddles, 2 sweatbands (wrist), 4 orange pickleballs and a really useful padded storage bag. Everything slots into the bag neatly and it also protects the contents nicely. The paddles themselves are responsive when hitting the pickleball and are easy to grip and hold. They feel and look much more expensive than they are but still aimed at beginners. Nice sweet spot and definitely an upgrade over a basic set. Recommended.
VANTA ORIGIN | Pickleball Paddle Set for Beginners - price when reviewed £ 59.99This is a nice set. The bats are of good quality and allow balls to be served with some force, yet with great directional control. The handles are sufficiently padded to provide good comfort. The only reason for four stars rather than five is that I find the price a little high.
This adult pickleball set is a thoroughly ordinary version that serves its purpose well enough as a trial kit. The build quality is fairly robust for the price point and the grip handles are reasonably comfortable for short matches. It is an excellent low cost investment if you are new to the sport and want to test the waters before buying expensive gear. The ball flight is predictable enough for basic drilling and practice sessions with the kids. Do not expect elite salon performance or a super lightweight feel but it is a totally acceptable package for general recreational use
Please see the video with this review of me unpacking the item and accessories from when received as new.I am someone who is still fairly new to pickleball but enjoys playing whenever I get the chance. We have courts in my local town, so I was pleased to receive this VANTA Origin Pickleball Paddle Set through the Vine programme to try out. This set comes with everything needed for two people to play, including 2 paddles, 4 balls and a carry case. I particularly like that everything can be stored neatly in the supplied case, making it easy to transport and keep together when not in use.The paddles feel well made and comfortable to hold. They are lightweight without feeling cheap, and the grip is comfortable in the hand. As a beginner, it feels like there is a large sweet spot which is helpful as I feel it has made it easier for me to keep the ball in play, even when my shots are not struck that well. The paddles also feel nicely balanced during use and provide a good combination of control and power given their price point. The included balls seem durable and more than adequate for casual games and practice sessions. The carry case, with its adjustable strap, top hand strap, front and inner mesh pockets and half zip, is another nice addition, being well sized to hold all of the contents and making the set convenient to carry around.Overall, I think this is a great starter set for anyone looking to get into pickleball. It includes everything needed for two players, feels well made, and offers good value for those wanting an easy way to start playing. I would happily recommend it to beginners or anyone looking for a complete pickleball set.
We've been playing pickleball for a while now and started off with a set of paddles and balls that cost about £25. These are now starting to look quite marked, so when I saw the Vanta Origin pickleball paddle set on Amazon, I was keen to give it a try.I'm pleased to say that this paddle set is a step up from our previous one, with a noticeably more comfortable grip and a more accurate feel in play. The kit includes:1. Two paddles2. Four balls (which are of okay quality)3. Two sweatbandsThe paddles themselves seem to be of good quality and have so far been okay during play with no issues. We usually play with Franklin X40 balls, so the balls that have been provided in the kit have been saved as spares, but we did try them and they actually felt okay. The construction seems of good quality and the overall finish is excellent, as you would expect with a mid-priced set. Whilst we are on the subject of price, this set comes in at £59.99, which is considerably more expensive than the previous set we used. Overall, I do feel this set gives better comfort with the grip and slightly more accuracy. It's very difficult to gauge value for money as pickleball sets can vary between £25 to hundreds of pounds depending on the quality. So far, based on my experience with these and the few games that we've played, I think they represent reasonable value for money, although I would like to see them slightly cheaper. I will update this review if we have any issues regarding the quality.
The VANTA Origin pickleball paddle set for beginners is a good kit to get you started and playing your first indoor game.Inside the carry bag, you will find two paddles, four pickleballs, and two wristbands, which are labelled as free gifts. The carry bag is good quality and spacious, with a front mesh pocket and a top carry handle as well as an adjustable shoulder strap. The balls are robust and will last well if not abused. As for the paddles, they feel like they will be fine for beginners. I have concerns about the strength of the hand grip; it is clearly hollow, and the paddle is one piece. Therefore, if you hit it hard, there is a good chance of snapping the handle, as there is some noticeable flex. The price seems high for sub-quality paddles, but then you would pay this much for a titanium weave paddle; these are made from fibreglass. Clearly, this set is aimed at new starters who will upgrade after getting a dozen games under their belts. I will use these for lite games and my main paddle for competitions.
I’ve been really happy with this pickleball set. I wanted something that included everything needed for two people. The paddles, balls and carry case all come together, so there was no need to buy extra bits before getting started. The paddles feel well made without being too heavy, and they’re comfortable to hold even during longer games. The carry case is a nice touch because it keeps everything in one place - there’s nothing to forget. Having four balls included is also handy. This feels like a proper starter set rather than a cheap novelty kit.
This is a really solid pickleball starter set and has everything you need to get going straight away. The whole package feels well put together, and nothing comes across as cheap or flimsy. The bats (paddles) in particular stand out – they feel surprisingly high quality for a set at this price point, with a nice weight and grip that makes them comfortable to use even for longer sessions. For beginners, that balance of control and comfort is exactly what you want, as it makes it much easier to pick up the basics and actually enjoy playing. You also get four balls included, which is a nice bonus. That’s more than enough to get started and means you’re not constantly chasing a single ball around or worrying about losing one straight away. Most starter kits typically include just a couple of balls, so having four is genuinely useful. In terms of value, at £59.99 this set feels like good value for money. You’re getting a complete setup that’s suitable for beginners or casual players without needing to buy anything extra straight away. Considering that decent beginner sets often sit in a similar price range and vary widely in quality, this one seems to strike a good balance between affordability and performance.Overall, I’d recommend this if you’re looking to try pickleball for the first time or want a convenient set for family and friends. It’s easy to get started with and feels like it should last well with regular use.
I’ve previously picked up a couple of other similar type Pickleball sets for review as everybody in this house really likes the game, although we never actually play on a court.Instead, we play in the garden, at the beach/park and sometimes even in the street as a wayward ball is unlikely to cause any damage to neighbours’ cars that may be parked there. This particular Pickleball set from ‘VANTA ORIGIN’ is one of the better ‘beginners’ sets I’ve seen, however costing just shy of £70.00 (when reviewed), I would be expecting a couple of nice bats for that price, even if it’s just a starter kit.Thankfully I feel you get what you pay for with this package, although of note is that you only receive indoor balls, whereas it’s usual to receive 2x indoor and 2x outdoor balls. It's not a huge deal for us as we already have 4 outdoor balls (the holes are different on both balls), however if you’re new to the game and planning on playing outside you may be a little more restricted on those windier days. The bats themselves are very nice though and I liked the black colour scheme with the very subtle orange piping and branding which was just enough for me. As a result, I think they look quite classy and a bit ‘stealthy’ so it's a thumbs up for their design. They feel good in the hand too, with the bats being nicely balanced and quite light with the head benefitting from some good bumper protection all around for those occasional ground strikes we're going to get.The grip feels nice too, although they’re easy enough to change and you receive a couple of sweatbands as well as a nice carry case that has more than enough space to keep everything together. This case is actually padded rather than being just thin nylon and the zipper seems strong too so I would expect the carry case to last just as long as the bats. All in all, it’s a good set that’s reflected in its price with my only little niggle being the lack of any outdoor balls… still happy to recommend this set though.
I have been using this set mainly for a bit of fun rather than serious play. I do not have a local court nearby, so this has been more about setting up a game in the garden and having something easy that friends and family can pick up without needing much experience. The set is ready to go because everything is included. You get the paddles and balls together, so there is no need to buy separate bits before you can actually play. The paddles feel comfortable in the hand and are not awkward to swing, which makes a difference when you are just learning how to hit the ball and keep a rally going.I have previously played this game casually with some lesser bats and I have to say, that they were basically toys when compared to these which are clearly the real McCoy and are far superior and more serious piece of equipment. They have enough weight behind them to make hitting the ball satisfying but they are still light enough that anyone can use them. My aging mother had no problem playing for considerable time. The surface gives a decent response when hitting the ball, and after a few games you start to get a feel for controlling where the ball goes.I think this set works well. It is definitely something you can start with if joining a club and playing in a more serious manner than me. If you don’t want to play competitively on a court then it is a simple way to get some exercise and have some fun without needing loads of space or experience.
We've tried a few different pickleball paddles here ranging from basic to £100+ per paddle, so have a decent idea of what a good paddle feels like. This double-pack set was £59.99 at the time of ordering but I note it is not currently available on Amazon. This relatively high price is despite it being marketed as a beginners set and so immediately this was a little concerning as double-pack beginners sets can readily be had around £30 similarly with a two-pack of paddles, balls and bag and so this looked initially quite pricey in comparison. After trying them out I'm inclined to stick with that initial impression - they are fine for beginners and work well as an introductory set but overall they are a little plain, feel quite basic and are quite expensive compared to competitor products - e.g. you can easily pick up carbon-based paddles in a starter set for this sort of price, which will last you far longer and generally just be a bit more 'satisfying'.The surface on these is smooth, so spin control is limited. The included balls are OK and the bag included is decent enough too and you get free 'gifts' of orange sweat bands included too. It looks OK overall but is just too pricey in my eyes. There are no specific features worthy of note aside from the 16mm core thickness (which is on the upper end of core thickness, which is usually either 13 or 16mm or somewhere in between). This just means slightly less power than a thinner-core paddle but more control and an easier sweet-spot. Each paddle weighs around 230 grams (just slightly over the average).Overall it's just a basic starter set from a UK-engineered padel and pickleball company backed up by a 12 month guarantee/warranty (if you register).4 stars from me.
